The third season of the career guidance program for ninth-graders has begun at the Moscow center. Professions of the FutureMore than 75,000 students will take part in it. Soon, 10th-grade students from Moscow schools will join the career guidance program. Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

"We see how consciously today's graduates approach their career paths. Ninth grade is especially important for students—the time when they first make the difficult decision: whether to continue their education after tenth grade or pursue a career through college. A key goal of Moscow education is to create the conditions for every student in the capital to maximize their potential. To help students explore all their opportunities and build their individual model for success, we've been running a comprehensive career guidance program for three years now, the first stage of which is taking place at the Professions of the Future center. Over the past academic year, over 70,000 students participated. They trust our specialists and choose promising areas of study. This year, another 75,000 students will receive career guidance. Furthermore, we've decided to expand the project: tenth-grade students from Moscow schools will soon join in," said Anastasia Rakova.

She also noted that at the "Professions of the Future" center, every ninth-grader can take an interactive tour and learn about in-demand professions using innovative services. Participants explore the world of modern professions using a 5D cinema, unique in Russia. Virtual reality technology allows them to try out different professions and gain their first hands-on experience in an interactive format.

The program's key stage is career guidance testing, after which students are invited to individual consultations with career mentors to decipher their results. Specialists help each student develop a personal model for success. The center also hosts meetings with representatives from Moscow colleges, who introduce the students to their educational programs.

The project gives schoolchildren the opportunity not only to learn about the most suitable careers but also to try them out for themselves during professional tryouts in workshops and laboratories at 48 Moscow colleges, as well as to visit specialized city businesses. This year, students will be able to complete three professional tryouts in recommended fields and choose a career or college within the industry. This approach will allow them to better understand the specifics of a particular profession and become familiar with the educational institution.

This year, approximately 500 employers and college partners will join the program, organizing tours of their campuses for students. Last year, ninth-graders visited approximately 250 leading Moscow companies.

Students can register for college tryouts and excursions independently after taking the test at the "Professions of the Future" center. To do this, select the desired tryout or excursion in the "Student Portfolio" service at the Moscow Electronic School and click "I want to attend." The school will then confirm the student's registration and participation.

The program places special emphasis on working with parents, who play a crucial role in teenagers' career choices. For them, the "Professions of the Future" center has organized a special "PROSuburban" format: monthly experts meet with parents and introduce them to promising professions and current demands of the Moscow labor market.

Since the launch of the comprehensive career guidance program, the number of participants has exceeded 130,000 people.

As Sergei Sobyanin noted in the strategy for the development of the Moscow social protection system,2030The comprehensive career guidance program will continue to expand in the capital. Every teenager will be able to make an informed choice about their future profession.
