Minsk, October 8 (Xinhua) — Belarusian airline Belavia launched flights to Hainan Province in southern China on Wednesday. The airline's press service released the corresponding information the same day.

According to the airline's press service, the airline launched its first long-haul flight—on the Minsk-Sanya-Minsk route. Early Wednesday morning, an Airbus A330-200 aircraft departed Minsk National Airport with 278 passengers on board, representing 99% of its capacity. Throughout the 10.5-hour flight, passengers are provided with two meals a day and access to the in-flight entertainment system.

The flights are operated on a wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The aircraft departs Minsk at 4:40 AM and arrives in Sanya at 8:00 PM. The return flight from Sanya departs at 10:00 PM, arriving in Minsk at 4:20 AM the following day. –0–
