The sixth season of the popular science competition "Science. Territory of Heroes" has launched for schoolchildren and students. The competition will run from October 6, 2025, to February 2026, with the support of Russia's national projects and is part of the "Science of Winning" initiative of the Decade of Science and Technology.
You can register on the platform heroes.science.rf, which features articles about the scientific achievements and discoveries of Russian scientists and video tours of scientific organizations. During the competition, participants will complete game tasks and take thematic quizzes.
"In the Decade of Science and Technology, declared by President Vladimir Putin, special attention is being paid to promoting research and engaging young people in it. The 'Science: Territory of Heroes' competition has proven itself to be an effective platform. Last year alone, more than 22,000 young people participated, and over 90,000 have participated since then. This season, we are launching a creative program called 'Science Creathon' for the first time. I am confident this will enable even more schoolchildren and students to find their own path to development in research and contribute to achieving our national goal of technological leadership," noted Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The competition is held in several thematic areas: “Energy and Numbers” (physics and mathematics), “Biochemistry of Discoveries” (chemical and biological), “Science in Life” (general education), “Scientific Creathon” (creation of creative projects).
"Today, our country has successfully built a system to support scientific creativity, establishing links between schools, universities, and the real economy. The 'Science: Territory of Heroes' competition is one such tool, allowing young people to learn about the work of major technology companies interested in talented young professionals. I am confident that for each participant, the new season will be a starting point for a long scientific journey," noted Minister of Education and Science Valery Falkov.
Competition winners will complete internships at leading scientific and educational centers across the country, receive additional points when applying to MISiS University, RUDN University, and Tomsk Polytechnic University, and receive grants from Beeline and PhosAgro.
"Science. Territory of Heroes" is a nationwide competition for schoolchildren and students aged 10 to 25, aimed at developing an interest in the natural sciences, popularizing scientific knowledge, and supporting young talent.
"Energy and Numbers" invites young researchers to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of physics and mathematics. They will explore the laws of nature, the properties of matter, its motion and interaction, and various physical phenomena. Participants will solve problems and create models that will help them understand how the universe works. Ideal for those who enjoy logical challenges and the exact sciences, this program is open to schoolchildren and students aged 10 to 22.
"Biochemistry of Discoveries" – in this program, participants will explore the amazing world of living nature and chemical processes. They will conduct experiments, study the structure of organisms, and the chemical reactions that occur around us. Suitable for those interested in biology, chemistry, and the natural sciences. This program is open to schoolchildren and university students aged 10 to 22.
"Science in Life" is a program open to anyone who wants to expand their knowledge. Here, you can explore the mysteries of astronomy, discover amazing facts about the Earth, and solve problems at the intersection of different fields of knowledge. Schoolchildren and students aged 10 to 22 are welcome to participate in this program.
Also being held for the first time this season is the "Scientific Creathon"—a new creative approach where science meets creativity. Participants create vibrant, inspiring projects—contest mascots and merchandise designs, illustrations, and entire comics dedicated to scientific discoveries. This is an opportunity to showcase creativity, present scientific ideas in an unusual format, and discover new facets of the relationship between art and science. The competition is open to participants aged 10 to 25.
