GUANGZHOU, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) — Typhoon Matmo, the 21st storm of the 2025 Pacific typhoon season, made landfall off the east coast of Xuwen County in Zhanjiang City in south China's Guangdong Province around 2:50 p.m. Sunday, the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory said.
At the time of the typhoon's landfall, the maximum wind speed near its center was 42 meters per second, and the minimum pressure at its center was 965 hectopascals. -0-
