Beirut, October 3 (Xinhua) — Two Hezbollah members were killed and one civilian was wounded in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Thursday, Lebanese sources reported.
The Health Ministry's Emergency Operations Center said in a press release that an Israeli strike on a vehicle on the Jarmak-Khordali road near the southern city of Nabatiyeh killed two people and injured another.
According to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA), it was a drone attack.
A Lebanese army intelligence source told Xinhua that two of the dead were Hezbollah members: Ahmad Saad and Mustafa Rizk.
A ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States and France between Hezbollah and Israel has been in effect since November 27, 2024. It put an end to the clashes that erupted between the two sides after the start of the war in the Gaza Strip.
Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army has been carrying out sporadic strikes into Lebanon, claiming they are aimed at eliminating "threats" from Hezbollah and maintaining its forces in five key positions along the Lebanese border.
