BEIJING, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) — More than 230 anti-cancer drugs for over 20 common cancers, including lung cancer, breast cancer and stomach cancer, have been included in China's national medical insurance catalog, according to the National Medical Insurance Administration (NMA).
GUMO accelerates the process of adding new and effective drugs to the catalogue, with some new anti-cancer drugs being added to the catalogue less than a year after receiving approval, continually improving the level of treatment available to patients.
According to an analysis by the Chinese Society of Cancer Control based on medical records from 2023, the five-year survival rate of cancer patients in China increased from 33.3 percent ten years ago to 43.7 percent by the end of 2023.
In addition to cancer drugs, China's national health insurance catalog also covers other essential auxiliary drugs, the GUMO reported. -0-
