Kyiv, October 3 /Xinhua/ — Ukraine's Ministry of Energy reported on Telegram that Russia launched massive strikes on gas transportation infrastructure facilities in several Ukrainian regions on Friday night.

According to the department, Russia used missiles and drones during the attack. Rescue workers and power engineers are working at the site to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strikes as quickly as possible.

Ukraine's largest private energy company, DTEK, said massive Russian attacks have halted gas production at several facilities in the Poltava region of central Ukraine.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, on Friday night, the Russian army launched a total of 381 drones of various types and 35 missiles at Ukrainian territory. The main targets of the strike were energy sector facilities in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions. Ukrainian air forces shot down or suppressed 303 drones and 17 missiles.
