Islamabad, October 2 (Xinhua) — At least 13 passengers, including women and children, were killed and 33 others injured in two separate road accidents in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, law enforcement and rescue officials said on Thursday.
Senior Superintendent of Police Atif Amir told the media that one of the accidents occurred in Lasbela district, where six people were killed and 17 seriously injured when a passenger bus collided with a truck.
Later, the non-governmental rescue organization Edhi Foundation said in a statement that seven passengers were killed and 16 injured in a separate accident involving a bus in Hub district.
The incident reportedly caused a traffic jam on the national highway, but the road was cleared after rescue operations.
The victims of both accidents were taken to a nearby hospital, several of them are in critical condition. –0–
