Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev chaired a meeting regarding Incident No. 42, "Fishing Vessels." Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Federal Agency for Fisheries, other relevant agencies, the United Shipbuilding Corporation, shipyards, and the industry business community discussed current issues related to the construction of fishing vessels.

"Since the beginning of the year, the harvest of aquatic bioresources has reached approximately four million tons. Our fishermen are increasing their catch in international waters. The salmon run has shown good results this year: 330,000 tons have been caught so far, which is almost one and a half times more than in the same period last year," said Dmitry Patrushev.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted efforts to improve the industry's productivity. The construction of a modern fleet and the upgrading of processing facilities under the investment quota program are playing a key role here. To date, 48 new, high-performance vessels have been delivered to customers. The vast majority of them are already fishing. In addition, 27 new fish processing plants are actively operating.

The meeting participants discussed the implementation of the mechanism and the dynamics of construction of fishing vessels.

Dmitry Patrushev also ordered the inclusion of research vessels in the incident. Among them is the Ivan Frolov, a vessel needed for Roshydromet's marine scientific research in the oceans, Arctic, and Antarctica. Once completed, it will become a flagship vessel in its field.

In addition, the meeting reviewed the progress of construction of the vessel "Vikenty Zaitsev", designed for environmental monitoring of Lake Baikal.

Following the meeting, Dmitry Patrushev ordered a systematic improvement in the quality of oversight of shipyards' compliance with ship construction schedules.

Incident No. 42 "Fishing Vessels" was created to coordinate work on completing the construction of fishing vessels as part of the implementation of the mechanism for providing quotas for the extraction (catch) of aquatic bioresources for investment purposes.

When working in an incident format, a special project management system deployed within the Government Coordination Center is used. It allows for the prompt coordination of participants' actions and real-time monitoring of project implementation.
