BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) — The China Coast Guard (CCG) has stepped up enforcement patrols in the territorial waters off China's Huangyan Island and adjacent waters since early September.
In accordance with laws and regulations, Chinese law enforcement officials have taken various measures, including verbal warnings and interceptions, to disperse vessels engaged in infringement and illegal harassment, the BOC said in a statement released Wednesday.
These operations have further strengthened the command and control of the relevant maritime area, the BOC said, vowing to firmly safeguard China's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests. -0-
