The Active Citizen project has begun vote, which will help identify the most beautiful and popular locations of the landscape festival Gardens and Flowers, which took place within the framework of Summer in Moscow.
This year, the festival took place at over 80 venues across the capital. The city was transformed into a vast, blooming park. Over 600,000 plants were used to decorate boulevards, pedestrian streets, squares, bridges, and embankments. Now, "active citizens" can recall their most vivid impressions and choose their favorites in each category.
Nine venues are competing for the title of best boulevard venue. Among them are Gogolevsky Boulevard, decorated in a chess theme; the art space on Strastnoy Boulevard, where elements of the urban environment have become true works of art; and Tsvetnoy Boulevard, imbued with a circus-like atmosphere. Among the venues on Moscow's pedestrian streets, 10 spectacular spaces are represented—from a green tunnel on Novy Arbat and a stylish lemon garden on Kamergersky Lane to a fairytale corner with multicolored carved flowerbeds inspired by Russian architecture on Nikolskaya Street and a lacy arched gallery with hanging plants on Kuznetsky Most.
The city's central squares weren't overlooked either. On Manezhnaya Square, guests were greeted by a veritable botanical garden with rare tropical plants and an eight-meter waterfall. The park above the Okhotny Ryad shopping center evoked a Provencal atmosphere with lavender fields. And near the Prechistensky Gates, the Active Citizen project's garden was a green labyrinth with swings and a seating area—a design chosen by Muscovites.votingThese and five other sites are currently awaiting evaluation by city residents.
In addition, Muscovites will vote for the best locations near the Garden Ring, as well as on the city's bridges and embankments. You can view photos of all the festival venues and learn more about them in the "More Info" section. "Active Citizens" will receive points for their participation in the voting for the city's loyalty program. "A Million Prizes", which can be used to obtain goods and services from program partners or sent tocharity.
The voting results will allow us to take into account the preferences of city residents when planning the event next season, making it even more vibrant and interesting.
Project Active Citizen has been operating since 2014. During this time, more than seven million people have joined, and over seven thousand votes have been conducted. Between 30 and 40 decisions are implemented in the city every month. The project is being developed by the State Public Institution "New Management Technologies" and the Moscow Department of Information Technology.
The creation, development and operation of e-government infrastructure, including the provision of mass socially significant services, as well as other services in electronic form, are consistent with the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" and the Moscow regional project "Digital Public Administration."
