Minsk, September 29 (Xinhua) — Over 76 years, under the wise leadership of the Communist Party, the Chinese people have achieved truly epochal accomplishments. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov on Monday at a reception to mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
According to him, in a historically short period of time, China has become a powerful industrial and scientific-technical power, a pillar of the global economy and one of the key centers of international politics.
"The PRC has achieved remarkable success in eradicating poverty. This achievement, unparalleled in world history, is a testament to the strength of the strategic direction of the new China's leaders and the hard work of the Chinese people. Today, China is confidently moving toward achieving the goals of the 'two centuries' and realizing the dream of a great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation," N. Snopkov noted.
He noted that Belarus attaches particular importance to the new initiative announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping at the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin. "The Global Governance Initiative reflects China's aspiration to contribute wisdom and strength to building a just world order. It is founded on the principles of sovereign equality of states, the rule of international law, genuine multilateralism, people-centeredness, and a focus on practical action," the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus stated.
N. Snopkov added that this initiative sets a new benchmark for the world: the creation of a truly just system of global governance.
"We view it as an expression of China's responsibility for the fate of humanity and a new step toward building a community with a shared future. Belarus highly values its sincere friendship with China," he emphasized.
N. Snopkov noted that 2025 is rich in anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. He stated that the friendship between Belarus and China, forged in battles against a common enemy, has become an inexhaustible source of true brotherhood and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.
"Today, under the leadership of the leaders of China and Belarus, our countries stand firmly shoulder to shoulder, demonstrating loyalty and sincerity proven by time and history.
