St. Petersburg, September 29 (Xinhua) — A former student walked into the Arkhangelsk College of Construction and Economics on Monday morning and attacked staff with a knife, the regional office of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

Two college employees were stabbed and hospitalized. TASS later reported another casualty: a college cloakroom attendant.

The attacker was subdued by students inside the building and handed over to the arriving patrol police. A criminal case has been opened for attempted murder, motivated by hooliganism.

According to preliminary information, the attacker was an 18-year-old boy, and the reason for the attack was the student's revenge for being expelled from technical school. –0–
