Beirut, September 29 (Xinhua) — Iran is ready to provide support to Lebanon at all levels, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani said Sunday at a meeting with Lebanese Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem.

"Iran provides comprehensive support to Lebanon and its resistance," the Lebanese National News Agency quotes Larijani as saying.

Thanking Iran for its continued support to Lebanon and its resistance, N. Qassem noted that Lebanon remains steadfast in the face of threats from the US and Israel.

Hezbollah is open to dialogue with all sides and is ready to cooperate with those who oppose Israel, he said.

A. Larijani arrived in Beirut on Saturday and later that day met with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. During the meeting, the Iranian politician supported Hezbollah's call for closer ties with Saudi Arabia and called regional cooperation crucial to countering Israel.
