URUMQI, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) — Members of the central delegation on Saturday continued to visit cadres and residents in several districts of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPC).
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and head of the central delegation, led a group of members of the central delegation to Burchun County, Altai Prefecture.
Wang Huning stressed the need to prioritize border security, strengthen and innovate social governance, integrate Xinjiang's unique cultural and tourism resources, and promote green development with ecological protection as a priority, so as to provide high-quality ecological support for sustainable growth.
The central delegation, led by Wang Huning, returned to Beijing on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, other groups of members of the central delegation visited the city of Atushi in the Kyzylsu-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region, Tacheng County, the cities of Yining and Turpan, as well as the city of Alaer, which is administratively subordinate to the SPSK. -0-
