JERUSALEM, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) — Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said Saturday that more than 750,000 residents have fled Gaza City as the military intensifies its offensive in the enclave.
According to I. Katz, Israel has entered the "decisive" phase of its operation. "Autonomous military vehicles equipped with explosives have been deployed ahead of the troops to defuse explosive devices, and fire support from the air and ground to protect maneuvering troops is sufficiently intense and powerful," his office said in a statement.
He warned that unless Hamas released all Israeli hostages and began disarming, "Gaza and Hamas will be destroyed."
