Beijing, September 28 (Xinhua) — A batch of imported goods recently cleared customs and arrived at the border trade zone located at the Tseke Port on the China-Mongolia border. This marks the first batch of goods imported from Mongolia to China in 2025, according to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region government website.

This batch of imported goods included chocolates, candies, cashmere products, beverages and other goods produced in Mongolia, and their total value amounted to more than 600 thousand yuan.

The Tseke Border Crossing is located in the Ejing District of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China. It is an important transportation hub, trade center, cargo distribution center, and resource channel connecting northwestern China with foreign countries.

Throughout the customs clearance process for this batch of goods, Ejina Customs and the Tseke checkpoint collaborated closely, significantly reducing customs clearance time and lowering importer operating costs.

According to the Tseke checkpoint, construction of the China-Mongolia border trade zone began in 2021, covering a total area of 5,194 square meters and housing approximately 300 trade stalls. The first batch of goods imported from Mongolia was registered in this zone on April 30, 2024.

"As an important platform for promoting China-Mongolia trade and economic exchanges, the border trade zone not only expands business opportunities and increases income for residents in the border area, but also deepens bilateral trade and economic cooperation," said Jiang Yang, deputy head of Ejing Customs, adding that the customs will continue to optimize customs control services to promote the high-quality development of this trade zone. -0-
