During his working visit to the Republic of India, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev of the Russian Federation participated in the opening ceremony of the World Food India 2025 food exhibition. The Deputy Prime Minister also toured the exhibition site and spoke with Russian producers of products presented at the exhibition.

"The Russian Federation is a key supplier of agricultural products to the global market. This is our contribution to strengthening global food security. The Republic of India is our country's leading trading partner in agriculture. In 2024, trade between our countries increased by 12%. In 2025, Russia confirmed its status as the largest supplier of sunflower oil to the Indian market. I hope that this exhibition will help establish new, sustainable contacts between Russian and Indian companies," said Dmitry Patrushev.

During his visit to the exhibition site, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia met with Chirag Ram Vilas Paswan, Minister of Food and Processing Industries of the Republic of India. Dmitry Patrushev emphasized Russia's interest in further actively developing cooperation. The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the participation of Russian producers in World Food India 2025 could facilitate the launch of new joint projects.

Dmitry Patrushev toured the Russian Federation's stand. Sixteen Russian exporters representing key agricultural subsectors—grain, oil and fat, meat, dairy, confectionery, finished goods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, fish, and seafood—are presenting their products at World Food India 2025. In total, more than 30 Russian companies are participating in the business mission at the exhibition.
