Yangon, September 26 (Xinhua) — A training course on energy management for the Myanmar food industry kicked off here on Thursday. It is funded by the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund (LMCB).
Speaking at the course launch ceremony, Zheng Zhihong, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, expressed China's willingness to share its experience in energy conservation and energy efficiency with Myanmar, jointly pursue a path of green, low-carbon, and sustainable economic and social development, and promote the stable and long-term development of the China-Myanmar community with a shared future.
In a video message, Myanmar's Minister of Industry Charlie Than expressed gratitude to the SBLM for its support, noting that the project fully meets Myanmar's needs and will contribute to the development of green industry in the country.
The event was attended by approximately 100 people, including representatives from the food industry. The two-day training course will include lectures by experts from China.
