Bishkek, September 26 (Xinhua) — A seminar on the China Global Governance Initiative (CGGI) was held at the Kyrgyz National University (KNU) in Bishkek on Friday. More than 100 people attended, including staff from the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan and representatives from Kyrgyzstan's political and academic circles.
In her report, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping detailed the profound content, value of the era, and global significance of the Global Governance Initiative, noting that the Initiative has provided a Chinese project and Chinese wisdom for improving global governance, demonstrating China's sense of duty as a responsible major power.
The diplomat noted that China and Kyrgyzstan will continue to intensify cooperation on the international stage and work together to create a community with a shared future for humanity.
The seminar was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov, Member of the Zhogorku Kenesh (parliament) of the Republic Karim Khanjeza, and the heads of several Kyrgyz universities and research institutions.
Representatives of the Kyrgyz side believe that the Global Governance Initiative meets the needs of the Global South, contributing to the construction of a more peaceful and prosperous world. They stated that Kyrgyzstan is ready to cooperate with China to actively implement the Initiative and jointly promote the formation of a more just and reasonable system of global governance.
The event was jointly organized by the Embassy of China in Kyrgyzstan, the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz National University. –0–
