First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov held a meeting with defense industry enterprises.

The meeting participants discussed current issues related to the defense industry. The First Deputy Prime Minister noted that the parameters of the draft three-year federal budget approved by the Russian Government for consideration by the State Duma provide for significant resource allocation for the "national defense" section. This is due to the need to address the needs of the Central Military District and counter the aggressive policies of NATO countries, which are increasing military spending.

"Ensuring national security is an absolute priority for the state and serves the interests of our citizens. This is especially true when it comes to strengthening the protection of the population and critical infrastructure within the country. All of this, taken together, creates increased demand on the defense industry. At a recent meeting in Perm, the President praised our enterprises, noting the exponential increase in arms and military equipment deliveries since the beginning of the Second Military Operation," noted Denis Manturov.

As the First Deputy Prime Minister reported, state defense orders are being fulfilled in full this year. Furthermore, a production schedule for high-demand items for 2026 has already been approved. Enterprises are already planning their workloads and stockpiling materials and components. In accordance with the orders of the Ministry of Defense and other military forces and services, there are plans to increase countermeasures against enemy attacks. Particular emphasis will be placed on ensuring anti-terrorist security, enhancing the security of border areas, and countering cyber threats to defense. Providing service members at the front with all necessary weapons, military equipment, communications equipment, and combat gear is an absolute priority.

"The complex of threats outlined in our opponents' military doctrines requires even more proactive efforts to address them. The necessary groundwork for this is already being laid, and its practical implementation will be a key element of the new state armaments program for 2027–2036. Its basic parameters have been broadly defined. Colleagues from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff have formulated assignments for advanced weapon models and types for all branches of the armed forces. This allows us to further refine the state defense-industrial complex development program associated with the state armaments program. This work must be guided by the strategic objective of continuously improving the performance characteristics of existing and advanced models, including through the introduction of artificial intelligence elements, big data solutions, and machine vision systems into weapons, military equipment, and special equipment. It is also necessary to continue developing and digitalizing production and service infrastructure, including upgrading the test range base. And, of course, to build a foundation for innovative strategic materials. "Taken together, this forms the basis for building a new technological vision for the defense industry. Work is already underway in all of these areas, and many others," Denis Manturov emphasized.
