BANGKOK, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — The Tourism Authority of Thailand on Tuesday launched the "Nihao Month" campaign to attract Chinese tourists during the upcoming Zhongqiujie (Mid-Autumn or Moon Festival) and the "golden week" period marking China's National Day.
China is the largest source of tourists to Thailand.
According to the agency, this year's campaign aims to bridge the gap between Chinese traditions and the charm of Thailand, and will involve a series of initiatives combining online promotion, cultural events, and influencer marketing.
Director-General Tapani Kiatphaibul noted that "Nihao Month" reflects the warmth and friendship between Thailand and China. Speaking at the campaign's launch ceremony, she outlined the new Trusted Thailand Stamp certification program, which aims to build trust in the country's safety and quality standards, positioning it as a destination for "meaningful connections and unforgettable memories."
