BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — The 2025 China-Russia-Mongolia Invitational Youth Boxing Tournament "Belt and Road" will be held from October 5 to 9 in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
According to the news portal chinanews.com.cn, a total of approximately 200 young boxers from 12 teams from Russia, Mongolia, as well as from the Chinese provinces of Shandong, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will take part in the series of competitions.
Athletes will compete for awards in 40 categories of competitions in four groups: Men's Group A, Women's Group A, Men's Group B and Women's Group B.
As it became known, the tournament aims to strengthen ties between China, Russia, and Mongolia through sport, particularly by fostering mutual understanding and friendship among young people. The event will also provide a platform for mutual learning and exchange of experiences between young athletes from different countries.
