City services specialists have completed the main repairs to the entrances of apartment buildings. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Utilities, and Public Works. Petr Biryukov.
"Maintaining the entrances of residential buildings in a state of good repair is a matter of utmost importance, so the capital has developed a unified approach to routine maintenance of these spaces. This year's plan included 16,700 entrances," noted Pyotr Biryukov.
Mandatory work includes cosmetic repairs, such as painting entrance areas, ceilings, and walls. Additionally, specialists tuck electrical wiring into special boxes, re-insulate pipes, refinish wall paneling, and repair mailboxes, steps, railings, and other damaged elements and structures. If necessary, they repair window and door frames in hallways and vestibules, railings, and steps, and replace floor signs and light fixtures.
Pyotr Biryukov emphasized that residents were notified in advance of the repair start dates. The information was posted on information boards and in public areas.
