Baku, September 23 (Xinhua) — Azerbaijan has attracted over $10 billion in investment through project agreements signed at the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF) 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov announced on Tuesday.
More than $7 billion of these funds will be directed to the non-oil sector, which, according to the minister, “opens up new opportunities for economic diversification and accelerated technology adoption.”
"Azerbaijan demonstrates an open and stable economic environment for foreign investment and its position as a reliable partner for long-term cooperation," noted M. Jabbarov.
Key projects include the creation of a modern coastal zone around Lake Boyukshor with an investment of $5 billion, a pilot seawater desalination project worth $407 million, and other projects, including in the hotel industry and automotive manufacturing.
