Moscow, September 22 (Xinhua) — The First World Public Assembly "New World of Conscious Unity" was held in Moscow on September 20-21. It was attended by prominent public figures and representatives of international, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations, including the UN, UNESCO, the SCO, BRICS, and ASEAN.
Politicians, diplomats, scientists, experts in education, culture, and sustainable development, youth leaders, representatives of traditional religious faiths, and leading global media outlets from 140 countries discussed the spiritual and moral values of the new multipolar world.
"We want to draw the attention of states and public organizations to the inner world of people, their feelings and sensations, where the concept of happiness as a universal human value occupies a special place," Andrei Belyaninov, Secretary General of the Assembly of the Peoples of the World, said in an interview with Xinhua.
He emphasized the importance of all initiatives aimed at facilitating the formation of new contours of international partnership as a conscious unity of peoples, based on the principles of shared responsibility for the future, respect, and the preservation of the fundamental spiritual and moral values of humanity.
A. Belyaninov noted the Declaration of Happiness adopted at the forum. "This Declaration calls on states and international organizations to take the necessary measures to ensure conditions conducive to the achievement of happiness by every person. We believe that through joint efforts we can create a world where everyone can realize their right to a happy life," the document states.
