Almaty, September 22 (Xinhua) — Kazakhstan plans to transfer 120 hydraulic structures into state ownership by the end of 2025, 245 in 2026, and 465 in 2027. This was reported by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan on Monday.

At the initiative of the Ministry, akimats (local executive authorities) of the regions developed roadmaps for the acceptance of hydraulic structures onto the balance sheet of specialized organizations for the operation and management of municipal hydraulic structures.

According to the roadmaps, it is also planned to transfer approximately 1,937 hydraulic structures from municipal to republican ownership.

In accordance with the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan, 16 specialized organizations for the operation and management of municipal hydraulic structures have been established and are currently operating in the country's regions. Ten of these were created in 2024-2025.
