BEIJING, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) — On September 20, a founding meeting of the Industry and Education Integration Society for Cross-Border Trade Development was held in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Neimenggu Ribao newspaper reported Sunday.

The community was jointly established by the Inner Mongolia branch of Sinotrans, the Inner Mongolia University of Finance and Economics, and the Inner Mongolia Vocational College of Business and Commerce.

The creation of the community is an important measure to actively respond to the national strategy of opening up to the north and comprehensively promote the development of a modern vocational education system. It brings together numerous administrative and industry resources, as well as those of enterprises and universities, to create an ecosystem that fosters mutual promotion of education and industry, the smooth integration of training and employment, and the beneficial interaction between scientific research and production, thereby providing powerful human resources guarantees for the development of cross-border trade.

"Participating organizations in the community will actively create a platform for strengthening exchanges, collaborate on technological breakthroughs and the joint training of specialists, and promote the further integration of industry and education and the formation of a whole corps of highly qualified specialists," the Inner Mongolia Professional College of Business and Commerce reported.

The founding meeting also hosted a forum on integrated development of industry and education, where experts and scholars exchanged views on issues such as the supply and demand of talent in the field of intelligent customs clearance that promotes cross-border trade, as well as ways to cultivate top-notch practitioners in cross-border trade amid the integration of industry and education. -0-
