Baku, September 21 (Xinhua) — Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix for the second time in his career, confidently winning the main race on the Baku street circuit on Sunday.
Second place went to Briton George Russell from the Mercedes team, while third place went to Spaniard Carlos Sainz from the Williams team.
For 27-year-old M. Verstappen, this victory was his second at the Baku round, following his triumph in 2022. He became the second driver in history to win twice in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has been held in Baku since 2016. –0–
