Beijing, September 21 (Xinhua) — More than 300 winter sports competitions are planned to be held in Heilongjiang Province (Northeast China) during the 2025-2026 ice and snow season, the Zhongxinwang news website reported, citing Dong Xiaodong, deputy head of the provincial administration of physical education and sports.
“We will continue to optimize our product offerings and regularly publish the competition calendar for the 2025-2026 ice and snow season,” Dong Xiaodong said.
According to him, the upcoming winter season, dedicated to “driving consumption through sports events and showcasing the appeal of sports in consumer scenarios,” will seamlessly combine sports events on ice and snow with elements such as nature, culture, tourism and commercial areas to create diverse consumer scenarios to better meet the growing and diverse needs of the population for winter sports.
