Bishkek, September 21 (Xinhua) — The Bishkek Snow Leopard Run, a mass race, took place on Sunday at Ala-Too Square in the center of Kyrgyzstan's capital. According to the Bishkek City Hall press service, the sporting event, held for the sixth time, attracted approximately 5,000 participants from 24 countries, including 500 children aged 3 to 13.

The route ran along the city's central streets. Adult participants were offered 5 km, 14 km, and a 21.1 km half marathon, while children were offered 100 m, 300 m, 500 m, and 1 km.

The race featured professionals, amateurs, and people with disabilities. A total of 672 international athletes took part, including those from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Turkey, along with 1,245 participants from Kyrgyzstan's regions and 2,865 residents of the Kyrgyz capital.
