BEIJING, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) — The 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum concluded on Friday after in-depth discussions under the theme of "Jointly Upholding International Order and Jointly Promoting Peaceful Development."
The event, which began on Wednesday, was attended by more than 1,800 officials, experts, scholars and observers from more than 100 countries, regions and international organizations.
Participants discussed topics such as “building a fair and reasonable system of global security governance,” “strategic mutual trust and cooperation in ensuring security in the Asia-Pacific region,” “international order, global security and stability,” and “strengthening regional peace through dialogue and consultation.”
The forum also featured a dialogue between leading experts, a seminar for young military officers and scholars, and various closed-door seminars, which greatly facilitated mutual learning and expanded communication channels between Chinese and foreign participants. -0-
