Yerevan, September 19 (Xinhua) — An Armenian delegation led by Director of the National Security Service (NSS) Andranik Simonyan will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the third International Security Forum, which will be held in Baku from September 19 to 21. The NSS of Armenia issued a corresponding statement on Friday.
Since Armenia and Azerbaijan gained independence in 1991, official visits between the two countries' delegations have been kept to a minimum due to the long-running conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. On August 8 of this year, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev initialed a peace agreement in Washington.
