Islamabad, September 18 (Xinhua) — Pakistani security forces killed four terrorists on Wednesday during an intelligence-based operation in the southwestern province of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Armed Forces said on Thursday.

According to the statement, the operation took place in Khuzdar district following information about the presence of terrorists there. Troops cordoned off the militants' hideout, leading to an intense firefight.

As a result of the clash, security forces killed four terrorists and seized weapons, ammunition and explosives, the statement said.

ISPR added that the slain militants had been actively involved in numerous terrorist attacks in the region targeting civilians and security forces.
