BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) — The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Forum on Traditional Medicine and the 2025 Traditional Medicine and Pharmaceutical Industry Conference will be held from Sept. 24 to 26 in east China's Jiangxi Province, the Jiangxi Daily reported.
As announced at a recent thematic press conference, the event, whose theme is “Deepening International Cooperation in the Traditional Medicine Industry and Promoting Mutually Beneficial Development,” will be attended by approximately 200 guests from China and other countries.
The forum will aim to promote the integration of traditional medicine and its related industry, achieve high-quality development of traditional medicine, and transform traditional medicine into a vibrant area of cooperation within the SCO.
During the forum, the launch of the SCO Traditional Medicine Information Exchange Platform will be officially announced. It will focus on cooperation between SCO member states in traditional medicine and will provide exchange services in four key areas: education, scientific research, medical care, and industry.
The forum will be jointly organized by the SCO China Committee on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation and the People's Government of Jiangxi Province. As a reminder, Jiangxi Province has already hosted the SCO Forum on Traditional Medicine four times since 2020. -0-
