The meeting discussed plans for developing cooperation between the organizations, training young professionals, and developing human resources for the Russian events industry. Participants also considered expanding the collections of the Polytechnic University Information and Library Complex with publications from the specialized library, as well as collaboration on content development and knowledge base development.

It was decided to continue cooperation under the 2022 agreementIt is aimed at researching the economics and organization of exhibition and congress activities, developing the national event industry, and holding joint events. For example, for several years now, the Polytechnic University has been hosting offsite sessions as part of the Eurasian Event Forum. This provides an excellent opportunity for industry representatives to meet and discuss current events industry topics.

"The establishment of the first industry library for the events industry, named after Sergei Nikolaevich Trofimov, one of the 'founding fathers' of the convention and exhibition industry in our country, is an important and significant event," said Dmitry Karpov, Academic Secretary of SPbPU. "Now, students in relevant fields and Polytechnic University staff have a unique opportunity to access rare books, research, periodicals, reference and information materials, and individual articles by leading Russian and international experts in the events industry and tourism."

The first industry library of the event industry named after S.N. Trofimov is open to visitors every first Thursday of the month at the following address: St. Petersburg, Lodeynopolskaya Street, Building 7.
