Tbilisi, September 18 /Xinhua/ — Georgia's gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2025 at current prices amounted to 25.3 billion lari (about 9.4 billion U.S. dollars), with real GDP growth reaching 7.3 percent compared to the same period last year, the Georgian National Statistics Office reported on Thursday.

The GDP deflator in the second quarter of this year was determined at 104.8 percent.

It is noted that during the reporting period, a significant contribution to the increase in GDP was made by growth in such sectors as information and communications /37.1 percent/, education /28.9 percent/, and arts, entertainment and recreation /16 percent/.

A decrease was noted in the following sectors: agriculture, forestry and fisheries /-2.5 percent/, construction /-2.6 percent/, supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning /-7 percent/. –0–
