Gaza/Istanbul, September 17 (Xinhua) — The number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has exceeded 65,000, the Gaza-based health ministry announced on Wednesday.
According to the agency, 98 bodies of the dead and 385 wounded were delivered to hospitals in Gaza over the past 24 hours, with seven humanitarian workers killed and another 87 wounded in the past 24 hours.
The department clarified that the total number of Palestinians killed since the conflict began in 2023 has reached 65,062 people, and the number of wounded has reached 165,697 people.
Four people died in the past 24 hours from hunger and malnutrition, bringing the death toll from food shortages to 432, including 146 children, the department added.
