Three new bus routes will connect the capital with the surrounding Moscow region. Starting September 20, buses #1383, 1873a, and 1971 will begin running from the Planernaya and Skhodnenskaya metro stations to Khimki.

"Following Sergei Sobyanin's instructions, we plan to integrate at least 30 percent of existing interregional bus routes into the Moscow transport system by 2028. On September 20, we will launch three new routes connecting the Khimki urban district with the Planernaya and Skhodnenskaya metro stations. Twenty-six modern Russian-made buses will operate on weekdays. This will improve the comfort of trips to the metro and reduce travel time for passengers," said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

Maxim Liksutov.

One of the main advantages is that residents of the region will be able to make advantageous trips on Moscow transport using single passes for 30, 90 and 365 days of the "Suburban" zone. They include transfers between ground transport, the metro, the Moscow Central Circle and the Moscow Central Diameters. There are also unlimited trips on regular river electric transport. In addition, with the "Unified" pass, you can ride bicycles and electric scooters of the city rental service "Velobike" for free. Each free trip lasts up to 30 minutes, and their number depends on the pass category:

— for 30 days — 60 free bike rides;

— for 90 days — 180 free bike rides;

— for 365 days — 390 free bike rides.

Additionally, the annual subscription can be paused for 14 days in the app. Moscow MetroThis is convenient for vacation travel or, for example, in case of sick leave. Two weeks will be added to the overall validity of the pass, and the passenger will not lose these days.

Modern Russian-made buses will feature a distinctive "Moscow – Moscow Region" sticker on the side, and will operate much more frequently than usual. For example, route #1383 will run every 8-12 minutes, while route #1971 will run every 12-19 minutes during rush hour. The comfortable, low-floor buses feature climate control and wheelchair accessible seats. Passengers will benefit from user-friendly navigation, including bright, large route numbers on the buses indicating final stops, voice announcements, and large on-board screens displaying route information. Clear route numbers will also be helpful: the number 1 has been added to the familiar route number. This will avoid duplication with city route numbers and make it clear to passengers that the "1000" routes serve the region.

In accordance with the objectives of the national project "Infrastructure for life" The capital is placing significant emphasis on modernizing social and public infrastructure, including increasing the number of convenient public transportation routes and upgrading rolling stock. Furthermore, as part of the national project, Moscow has begun developing the Central Transportation Hub. It will become a unified transport system with predictable commuter rail service for over 30 million residents in 11 regions of the country.
