Baku, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) — Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Su Hui in Baku on Monday.

Su Hui conveyed cordial greetings from Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang to Asadov. She said that in recent years, under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, relations between China and Azerbaijan have maintained a dynamic development trend. According to her, China intends to work with Azerbaijan to effectively implement the consensus of the heads of the two states, strengthen mutual support, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, closely interact in the international arena, and make unremitting efforts to develop the China-Azerbaijan comprehensive strategic partnership.

A. Asadov asked Su Hui to convey his best wishes to Li Qiang. He congratulated the Chinese side on the successful holding of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Developing relations with China is a priority area of Azerbaijan's foreign policy, A. Asadov said, adding that Azerbaijan expects to use the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership with China to further deepen bilateral cooperation in such areas as cross-border transportation, green energy and the digital economy.

Su Hui visited Azerbaijan as the head of the CPPCC National Committee delegation. During the visit, she also met with Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova. –0–
