About 3.2 thousand events were held by non-profit organizations (NPOs) and Moscow companies as part of "Summer in Moscow". Free educational, cultural and sports programs were held at 50 district sites of the project from June 1 to September 14 this year. City residents received even more opportunities to spend their leisure time near their homes, and business representatives were able to tell a wider audience about themselves and increase their recognition.

Participation of NGOs

This year, more than 400 socially oriented and educational NGOs joined the project. They held over 2.5 thousand different events, including inclusive ones, in different districts of Moscow.

"Non-profit organizations not only independently organized events, but also successfully integrated their initiatives into large district and city festivals. In addition, most organizations are actively involved in collecting humanitarian aid for participants in the special military operation and residents of new regions of Russia. In just two months of summer, the non-profit sector collected and delivered over 10 thousand tons of necessary items," noted Sergey Polozov, head of the project office for work with non-profit organizations at the Agency for Public Projects.

Among the events held by the NPO were a taekwondo master class by Oleg Zakharov’s martial arts school, the cultural program “Harmony of Traditions” by the Russian Community charity foundation, the inclusive creativity festival “In the Spotlight” by the ANO “Sunny Angel” Creative House, and a chess tournament by the Baytik information technology center.

"This year, the all-Russian project "Father Frost Comes to the House!" presented the show "Father Frost and Summer" as part of "Summer in Moscow". This allowed us to attract new volunteers and identify five more families for inclusion in the New Year's charity support program," said Lyubov Ershova, head of the NGO.

Participation of the business community

This year, more than 180 representatives of the business community took part in Summer in Moscow. They organized about 700 educational, sports and entertainment events. These included, for example, lectures on financial literacy by Gazprombank, a fire show by the Goritsvet Fire Theatre, and master classes on Fundamentals of Digital Security by the International Cyber School of the Future.

Thus, entrepreneur Tatyana Kokoreva held a master class on styling jewelry that popularizes Russian culture. This helped increase the recognition of her products – in just one class, a base of 37 potential clients was formed, and sales increased by 20 percent.

Entrepreneurs are increasingly becoming partners of the Summer in Moscow project

"My area"— a comprehensive program of the Mayor of Moscow for the development of the urban environment. Its goal is to create comfortable living conditions in all areas of the capital. Important components of the program are comfortable courtyards, landscaped parks and modern social infrastructure facilities located near the house.

Project "Summer in Moscow", aimed at strengthening social and family ties, became the main event of the season. This year it was held for the second time and its program became even more intense. Participants had access to a variety of cultural, leisure, sports, creative and educational events held in different areas of the city.

The project united Muscovites and guests of the capital of different ages, social groups and created conditions for obtaining new knowledge, creative growth and an active lifestyle. In addition, within its framework, a single platform for cooperation and interaction between NGOs, businesses and residents appeared.
