The Moscow Startup Summit, an international conference in the field of technological entrepreneurship, will be held in the capital on October 1 and 2. The event will bring together innovators, investors, as well as representatives of large companies, specialized departments and scientific institutes from Russia and other BRICS countries, as well as from the states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). This was reported by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
"International funds and startups from 25 countries, including Belarus, China, India, Serbia, Brazil, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, have already confirmed their participation in the summit. Experts will discuss mechanisms for supporting talented developers, successful practices for implementing and scaling modern solutions and promising areas for further cooperation," said Natalia Sergunina.
The business program will include presentations, master classes, discussions and practical sessions. More than 150 leading market players will share their experience. In addition, there will be an exhibition with the participation of startups, including residents of the Moscow Innovation Cluster.
"The summit will become a platform that unites the capabilities of Moscow's innovative ecosystem with Sber's infrastructure and expertise in AI to develop technological entrepreneurship and the country's creative economy. The program will be structured in such a way that participants will receive specific results: startups will receive proposals for pilots and investments, corporations and investors will receive promising projects, and government officials will receive agreements on international cooperation. An important part will be the regional agenda and the development of innovations in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as a demo day of the international Sber500 accelerator and presentations by youth startup teams. We expect that more than four thousand representatives from Russia, the BRICS and SCO countries will take part in the summit," emphasized Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank.

Startup Summit Awards Innovation Prize
The conference will host the first Startup Summit Awards for contribution to innovation development. The goal is to recognize effective practices, inspire large companies and investors to participate in supporting start-up entrepreneurs, and develop the economic potential of regions.
Natalya Sergunina noted that more than 1.7 thousand applications were received from 79 regions of Russia. The most popular category is "Startups", it collected about a thousand questionnaires. The leader in the number of applicants for the award was the capital – 550 contestants, about 270 of them are participants of the Moscow Innovation Cluster.
Saint Petersburg came in second place, Moscow Region came in third, and Tatarstan came in fourth.
The applications will be reviewed by a jury. It includes heads of domestic enterprises, famous entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of government bodies and specialized educational institutions.
According to Alexander Vedyakhin, one of the key technologies today is AI: every third startup that applied for the award chose the nomination "Best Solution with Artificial Intelligence". It is symbolic that the neural network model GigaChat will help determine the finalists in this category. This is an example of how AI is becoming a real tool for the development of innovations, helping to find projects that can change the future of the Russian technology market.
The projects will be assessed according to several criteria: innovativeness of solutions, quality and scale of partnership, sustainable growth of financial indicators, as well as contribution to the improvement and coverage of the technological ecosystem and the creation of new growth points for its participants.
The organizers of the summit and the founders of the award were the Government of Moscow and Sber. The award ceremony will take place on October 2.
