Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the V International Financial Security Olympiad in 2025.
It was attended by the Director of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring Yuri Chikhanchin, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Dmitry Afanasyev, Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai Mikhail Kotyukov, Acting Rector of the Siberian Federal University Maxim Rumyantsev, General Director of the ANO National Priorities Sofia Malyavina, and representatives of other interested departments and organizations.
Dmitry Chernyshenko noted that the Olympiad is being held with the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin and today includes professional, educational, sports and spiritual-moral tracks.
"Less than two weeks remain until the final stage of the V International Financial Security Olympiad. For the first time, the Olympiad final will be held in Krasnoyarsk at the Siberian Federal University from September 29 to October 3, 2025. Despite the international situation, we have managed not only to maintain, but also to expand the level of organization and holding of the Olympiad. Almost 600 children from 40 countries will come to Krasnoyarsk. This year, five foreign countries have joined the Olympiad: Bangladesh, Jordan, Madagascar, Turkey and Uruguay," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
After the final, he ordered that a thematic booklet be published in Russian and English and that a documentary film be made.
As Yuri Chikhanchin emphasized, the culmination of the professional track will be the forum of the International Movement for Financial Security, where scientists and experts will discuss current trends in the digital sphere, associated risks and possible ways to minimize them in an interactive dialogue mode with the younger generation.
"On the sidelines of the final week, for the first time, the second informal meeting of representatives of the BRICS countries will be held with the participation of students, which will be devoted to the exchange of experience in implementing the movement's projects in the association's space. The meeting of the Council of the International Network Institute in the Sphere of AML/CFT will be devoted to discussing the further development of the movement, the possibilities of using its scientific and educational potential to solve priority tasks in the sphere of financial security," said Yuri Chikhanchin.
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, head of the executive committee of the Olympiad Dmitry Afanasyev added that, in addition to the main competition track, the program includes more than 100 educational, cultural, and sports events. Including 6 panel discussions and more than 30 master classes are planned. In addition to events for participants, the business program includes events for the expert community.
Krasnoyarsk Krai Governor Mikhail Kotyukov reported that the city's preparations for the large-scale event are proceeding according to plan.
"Today, all the main issues of preparation for the final of the international Olympiad are closed: from logistics to accommodation. All preparatory activities are going according to schedule. We pay special attention to ensuring the safety and medical support of the participants. We have separately developed a rich cultural, sports and excursion program in order to introduce guests to Krasnoyarsk. The project team is making every effort to create an atmosphere of hospitality at each site of the big event," said Mikhail Kotyukov.
