BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) — The added value of output of China's large industrial enterprises increased 5.2 percent year on year in August 2025, data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Monday.
Let us recall that in July this figure increased by 5.7 percent year-on-year.
Overall, in January-August 2025, the added value of products of the above-mentioned enterprises in the country increased by 6.2 percent year-on-year, the department reported.
Industrial added value in China is used to measure the output of large industrial enterprises with annual revenue from main business activities of 20 million yuan (about 2.8 million US dollars) or more.
According to the State Statistical Office, last month the added value created by enterprises in the manufacturing industry grew by 5.7 percent year-on-year, and in the extractive industry by 5.1 percent. While in the sector of production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water this indicator grew by 2.4 percent. -0-
