Moscow, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) — An earthquake measuring 5.9 in magnitude struck off the eastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula on Monday, the local branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported.
The tremors occurred on September 15 at 19:34 Moscow time /September 16 at 04:34 local time/, 150 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the administrative center of Russia's Kamchatka Krai. The earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of more than 25 km. –0–
