The Department of State Policy in the Sphere of Scientific and Technological Development of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation announces the launch of the third stream of the free online course "Pop-Science Journalism".
The course will run from October 6 to December 14 and will bring together more than 100 participants from among journalists, students, representatives of the press services of scientific and educational organizations, as well as anyone who wants to learn how to create accessible and engaging content about science and technology.
You will enjoy more than 50 lectures, webinars, creative tasks, as well as feedback from famous scientists, popularizers of science and journalists on six blocks of topics: “All about popular science”, “Working with text”, “New media: social networks and SMM”, “Working in the frame, filming and post-production”, “Personal brand and PR”, “Naturally about science”.
Among the experts in the third stream: TV presenter and journalist Ernest Matskyavichyus, TV presenter and popularizer of science Alexey Ivanchenko, chief producer of the ANO "National Priorities" Gleb Fedorov, chief editor of the TV channel "Science" Alexey Rezepkin and others.
To participate in the course, you must fill out the form on the website https://school.rt.com/nauchpop, complete a test assignment and be selected based on the results of an expert assessment. Applications will be accepted until September 28, 2025.
Participants who successfully complete all tasks and score high will receive prizes from the course creators, the RT School and the National Priorities ANO. Among them are personalized certificates, souvenirs, an opportunity to do an internship at the Russian editorial office of RT, divisions of the National Priorities ANO, as well as a visit to the V Congress of Young Scientists, which will be held from November 26 to 28 at the Sirius federal territory.
