BOLEI, XUAR, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) — The picturesque scenery of Sairam Lake in Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region attracts a large number of tourists in mid-September.
Sairam-Nur is the largest high-mountain lake in the XUAR. It is located at an altitude of 2073 m above sea level in the Tien Shan mountain range. Its area is 458 sq. km.
