CHENGDU, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) — The 2025 Golden Panda International Cultural Forum opened Saturday in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Li Shulei, member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the event and announced its opening.
The forum, jointly organized by the All-China Literary and Art Workers' Association and the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, brought together more than 780 guests from home and abroad.
Participants believed that exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations serve as a vital impetus for their progress, as well as for world peace and development.
The global governance initiative put forward by China at the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin has received support from forum participants, who said it carries Chinese wisdom and offers Chinese solutions to address pressing global challenges and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
The forum's guests also stressed the need to deepen international exchanges and cooperation in areas such as education, culture, media, science and technology in order to strengthen the integration of cultures and bring peoples closer together. –0–
