BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) — The Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress of China adopted the Law on Publicity and Education on the Rule of Law at its 17th session on Friday.

The law consists of 65 articles in seven chapters.

It is intended to strengthen the social basis for the implementation of the principle of the rule of law in public administration and to promote the construction of a socialist state governed by the rule of law at a higher level.

According to this law, China implements a lifelong rule of law education system for its citizens, integrating rule of law education into the national education system, personnel training system and social education system.

The law also provides that the country should use important national holidays and commemorative days to organize propaganda and educational activities in the area of the rule of law.

Internet service providers shall, in accordance with the law, conduct legal propaganda and education for industry workers and Internet users.

The law will come into force on November 1, 2025. -0-
