Jinxi County, Jiangxi Province, has 128 ancient villages with well-preserved layouts and more than 10,000 ancient buildings from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) periods, making the county known as the "open-air museum of ancient villages". For many years, the local government has been holding the "Save Old Houses" campaign here, consistently promoting the preservation and revitalization of ancient villages.
